Wink Better performance!

Hi! I have a quick question... I've noticed a major improvement
in performance with epsxe and the petes plugins over the past
several months. But I still would like it to work to the point
where there aren't as many slow downs. I have
a P4 1.8 ghz, 256 mb Ram, and a GeForce 3 Ti200...
I'm thinking of upgrading my ram to maybe 512 or higher in
the near future. This would probably help, wouldn't it?
Thanks to WinXP, i don't have a ton of ram to give with only
256.. i usually have around 95-120 mb free at any time.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!

-Brad

well if u don't want "slowdown's" get a new graphics card or update the driver's for your current one and what type of ram (rdram, ddr) is it?

DDR. I only run in software mode. I've enjoyed better
compatability that way, and prettier graphics don't impress
me a whole lot, since most games I play are rather 2-dish.
It isn't a horrible slow down, just brief ones that is enough
to totally throw some XA sound off.. like in SOTN mainly.
Like I said, it's running 95% perfectly for me.. back a few
months ago it went rather slow all together. I'll need the ram
soon anyway, since most systems have 512. I guess it wouldn't
hurt any would it? ^_^ Maybe I'll get a video card soon too.
Thanks again!

no, it won't help you. 256mb of ddr ram is more than enough, and wouldn't give significant increase.

Try running the game off an iso if you haven't done so.. If you have music problems with running an iso, try moobys cdr image plugin..
