cheat question plz answer

do i have to download some program to make cheats work on the emulator or can i just do cheats without downloadin anything

how do i work it though how do i put in the code and where do i put in the plugin i'm confused so plz ty to help me like step by step

First put it in your ePSXe plugin folder, then set it as your graphics plugin. Go to config and set your real video plugin from there. It has plenty of codes installed allready and adding is pretty easy. It supports many cheat codes such as Gameshark, explorer.. etc.

1. install it.
2. select the folder of the PLUGIN of the emulator and add the plugin of PEC there.
3.start the emualtor.
4.go to video plugins.
5.select PEC in the combo box.
6.click configure.
7.select the real video plugin(e.g. pete 1.68 opengl)
8. click OK.
9. run PEC.
10 select your choice of cheat.
11. click send to plugin.
12. if that wont help you.....better go back to the first grade.

I couldn't get PCE or CEP to work... I'm just not getting something. I think I got closer with CEP, but neither really seemed to do anything. I'm trying to get some codes for Castlevania: SotN to work, but no luck. Can anybody get some codes to work for that game and tell me exactly what you did?...

well first question would be:

have you installed the program properly?

I use PEC and it work fine for me... just follow metal ash instruction properly... you should have ePSXe running but not yet the game... when you send the cheats to the plugin, then run the game...

I actually got it to work... i was using the wrong program

So far, i think [pec] is the best cheating tool available for psx emulators up to date. It should be perfect. You can also put in your own codes using the F3 button while in pec or modify the database.
