Metal Gear Solid hangs on disc change

Anything special I should know about switching to disc 2 in MGS? It looks like it's going to work, and I press start, then it just hangs.

Thanks Beta, but that's what I'm doing.

How would I make a save state work? It only applies to each CD... i.e. a disc 1 save state can't be loaded on a disc 2.. all the slots are reset..

He meant a memcard save. You save the ame at the end of the CD, then load up with the next one.

MGS doesn't give the option to save between discs.

It doesn't? I thought it did. Try using a different CDR plug-in.

I tried the core just now, it still doesn't work. I've tried two ISO's too.. but I know this one works because ePSXe runs this disc 2 just fine on its own...

well, this wont fix the problem you have with the disk change, but i saved your game on disk2 so that you can continue it. Just load it from this memcard file. Hope this helps.
