Final Fantasy 9 - bad CD or bad config?
I've been having major problems with emulating my backup ff9 cd's on my comp.
I don't like using the original disc's as they can sometimes get damaged... Here's my problem: When I run the backup CD with epsxe it displays the logo's then goes to the main menu. I select New Game and it brings me to the movie sequence. Here's where the problem is, when it zooms into the window on the door my game shuts itself off and gives me this error: Opcode 1f UNK (PC 00000080) (9013,0) And ePSXe just remains like that, displaying that error... NOW... I've been to Kane's site and configged it all the exact same way - same problem. I've even created iso's from the cd's and STILL same problem, i then even used the original cd's and same thing... Any suggestions? Here's my settings: Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.64 Author: Pete Bernert Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation GFX card: GeForce2 MX/AGP/SSE2 Resolution/Color: - 1024x768 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing - Keep psx aspect ratio: on Textures: - R8G8A8A8 - Filtering: 4 - Hi-Res textures: off - Palettized tex windows: on - Garbage collection: on - VRam size: 32 MBytes Framerate: - FPS limitation: on - Frame skipping: off - FPS limit: Auto Compatibility: - Offscreen drawing: 4 - Framebuffer texture: 2 - Framebuffer access: 3 - Alpha multipass: on - Mask bit: off - Advanced blending: on Misc: - Scanlines: off - Line mode: off - Unfiltered FB: off - Dithering: off - Screen smoothing: off - Game fixes: on [00000202]

Hmm... I sometimes get problems in hte opening MDEC too. I haven't yet isolated it.
You can probs go back to the openGL plugin once the opening is finished.
