FF8 Japanese problem

I'm trying to get teh Japanese version of FF8 to work, but when I start it up, it tries to read from the disk, but no good, just black screen, has anyone else had this problem, or might know a way I can fix it... I'm going to try and make an ISO for it in a while, and maybe check for plugin glitches and whatnot, but so far I can't see why this is working, unless I'm missing a nice big scratch on the disk somewhere...

I always use a PAL BIOS (SCPH-7502 or DTLH-3002) for Japanese games.

Did you enable subchannel support in the CDROM plugin, because the copy protection of FF8 needs that.

Hmm...

I have almost the same settings as you, and sub channel support on, maybe I'll check my Bios once more...
