Technu 2 - (Stealth Assasins)

Hmmm I have been playing through this and the emulator dies at the part right after Red Sparrow is defeated. Another problem I seem to have is that the voice acting is cut short a lot. Is this a timing issue?

I've not gotten past the part where the FMV plays after this the EMU just hangs.. ideas?

I didn't double post. Double posting is posting the same question in 2 forums or reposting it 2 times in the same forum. I replied to my own post I did NOT create a new thread.

yeloazndevil:
I'm using the Internal SPU as well as the internal CDROM driver.

The System:
Win2k 5.00.2195 SP2

I don't really care too much about the sound it's the hang on the end of the FMV when it goes to load the next mission that drives me nuts. I'm not sure why.

For your voice acting cut problem, try add "-cdtiming" onto the command line and see if it works.

Dont add the -cdtiming you dont need it. instead of that i remember that i used the petes audiodriver (and put the fast mode not the compatibility mode) and i had to activate frameskipping with the cutscenes and with it the sound didnt skip.
I hope it helps.
I dont remember who is red sparrow.

One odd thing I found during this game was that sometimes the cutscenes would just stop, as if I had pressed start and the game would move on - it did it on almost every cutscene and was annoying. It was a while back that I last played... but I think I was using Pete's OGL 1.64 and Eternal 1.2 and playing from an ISO.

Never happened to me and the strange thing is that i was using the same settings that you.
Btw, i used to have the 2 button for start. I recently read that it was a workaround for gt2 so i wanna know if it affectes any other game if a press it (sometimes you press start a lot of times). Does it slowdowns other games?

I Played the game on some older epsxe (may be 1.4 ,not sure though) without any problems. Looks like its another one of those games which required "accurate cd rom timing " option and suffered problems on few systems with epsxe 1.52.
Anyway EVil Squall does have that game and he may be able to provide exact settings to run it perfectly.

Ok .. here is what I found out.. pressing the '2' key seems to cause it to jerk a bit.. but does allow the game to continue playing.. although it halts for a bit after the mission. I wonder what this hack does?

Voice acting is still lacking .. not absolutely necessary but it makes the plot kind of dull without it

I've noticed it cuts of in certain areas. Sometimes the voices play as long as 15 seconds or as short as 1 second.. it is a tad anoying granted.

However it plays beyond Todas Camp with the 2 key trick.

You can also use Daemon tool to mount the image onto a virtual CDRom and play it from there instead of using the internal epsxe iso function. There is some streaming problems within the internal iso function which will hopefully fix on the next version.
