not 60 frames but really 30 frames?
um..
like i notice "unsmoothness" when playing epsxe at 59.9 fps constant... so i used fraps http://www.fraps.com/download.htm a prog that checks the frames per second for any game... and it seems off... can someone explain? or really epsxe is really using about 30 frames per 60 frames? half of what is says? |

NTSC psx games and mdecs run usually at 15, 30, 45 or 60 "real" frames... depends fully on the game engine. What you see in the plugins (at least mine or Lewpy's) is the number of psx vsync calls, and that's always 59.94 times per second (NTSC), if the emulated speed is correct.
But that's no big secret, you can find this info a couple of times in my plugin docs. |

If you use nickks plugins ur fps shown will be same as shown by fraps. Rest is already explained by pete.

In reality... petes plugin (with frameskip off) the framrate tells you how well it compares to what it would be on a real TV (either PAL or NTSC) so if you get 47fps on a NTSC game is going slower then it was ment to.

> trying some betas of a emu that hasnt released
>yet, I just saw some games >that if u set the FPS limit to 120 the game runs >smoother than normally on ePSXe or >something else, can u xplain me that? it usually means that this emu has a screwed vsync timing, which will cause a lotta trouble... |

is there a way to code it so it shows 60 "real" frames all the time? or would it just go too fast?
btw, this seems to be the same for all 3d emulated games for tv, so pretty much the answer is no, but i just want to know... |
