Something about Subchannel reading
Error subchannel reading appears when I try to create M3S and SBI file through reading CD~
Is that my CD rom drive doesn't support subchannel reading? then i make ISO for that disk (FF8 NTSC/JAP) create M3S and SBI again~ the m3s created worths about 70KB but sbi worths only 18bytes, is there something wrong?? and... no luck, those m3s and sbi made from ISO doesn't help either still can't play FF8 and don't know if there's some way to remove that copy-protection while ppf files are not available |

Well: The best way to play FF8 is to make an image with CloneCD for example (I don't know if other programs also read subchannel data...) and play the game from that image.
Another option is to play the game with the internal CDR core, because it caches the subchannels automatically (if you select that option) |

Thanks for opinions~
but i've tried it before, that ISO was created from CloneCD it doesn't help~ and the internal CDR core does read subchannels~ it needs a while to do that, but screen goes black again after all the subchannel reading has completed~ doesn't work~ I wonder if the copy-protection of NTSC/JAP ver. FF8 differs from others~ It's weird, tried different methods but none works can't see even the title of the game~ no ppf patches available, ISO doesn't work all CDR plugin shares the same result~black screen How come... |
