Unhappy FF9 Problems Plz help :(...

Can someone give me some configurations for Final Fantasy XIX for my system as follows:

Jetway motherboard w/1.7Ghz P4;
384 MB RAM
40GB UDMA 133 Hard Drive
ATI All In Wonder Radeon 8500DV w/64MB RAM
Sound Blaster Live! Value
Pioneer A04 DVD-R drive
16x Max DVD-ROM Drive

...

wheather I am starting Final Fantast XIX with an ISO image from WinISO or using the original CD in the CD drive, it just doesn't work. Black screen with chipmunk music in the background.

I am usng Pete's OpenGL driver 1.66 with the settings within the attached picture (excuse the beautiful woman in the background wallpaper).

Radeon graphics cards work better with pete's D3D plug-in

try enabling Use FPS Limit and under FPS Limit put 60 for NTSC and 50 for PAL Games and put framebuffer access to 0 FF9 does not work well with it

Well, looks like I'm going to have to play this in "Software mode". That seems to work ok. Its just very grainy though.

are those image are at low resolution screen???

I use either 640x480 or 1024x768 in software mode. The movies are still top notch high quality, but the characters, background and field look AWFUL!

yeah it shows, and the 1st image is very pixelated... try texture filttering on those to get a much smoother render...

So far, I have played this game in that software mode and have passed the 1st CD! I'm 12 hours into the game! .

you palyed 12 hours with that kind of images!!?? well your very patent indeed... well try fiddling around with other plugins and rendering option if you could adjust it much better... good luck man...

I've played it in a 640x480 software resolution for 12 1/2 hours. It still looks ok. It looks like this...
