what is the brand of the cd rom that u are using? what os are you using? do you have nero installed? because it conflicts with epsxe if you are using the nero drive speed

Is it a problem with ePSXe (1) or
U can`t read other CD in your system (2)

(1)=>Check CDR Plugin Configuration
(2)=>Give drive to repair {if it`s new CD}
......or just buj new one (if it`s old one)

No, U can`t blame VideoPlugin 4 your problem with CD...

BTW; What is exacly your problem?
- your CD can`t read PSX CD`s (CD didn`t work with ePSXe)
- your CD can`t read any (PC games, music) CD at all (in Win)
- you can`t use ISO made in NeroImages anymore

???

It conflicts only when U try 2 limit speed of your CD,
using the same function (CDSpeed limit) in ePSXe CDRPlugin
& your drive didnt support function of limiting it speed
..

Do you mean that the black surface of the PSX CDs might have damaged the laser? No, that is not possible!

check the connectors on the back of the drive first, you (or someone else) may have accidentally plugged out one of them. ^^

ianpaulpintor: >"buy a new cd drive"

we can discuse what is better CD or DVD
all night long, but wait a year (maby less, maby more)
when PS2Emu will be born - DVD is req. to read games
from that system!

... and what will U say then with old CDRom?
??

I use my CD Writer for PSX CDs. It plays them much faster than my DVD drive

Most CD-(Re)Writers runs much faster than normal
CD & DVD drive couse it has big buffer!

...but comparing speed, capability & possibility
of normal DVD & CD drivers- Winner is DVD

i was talking about not buying the dvd/cd combo drive. hey guys i just remembered help me out. i have a dual boot system on my win2000 my peops plugin 1.11 could detect all my 4 drives including the one that daemon-tools installed--the stealth drive. but when i reboot to win98 only my stealth drive can be chosen in the epsxe cd rom configuration.

The reason is that DaemonTools uses the ASPI Layer that is not really supported by Win2K or WinXP (They use a Layer called IOCTL). There are some programs that do it (e.g. CloneCD or Peops CD plugin), but the Windows GUI doesn't.
