Soviet Strike. does it run?

Do I need to use specific plugins to make it run? the game is not in the ePSXe compatibilty list and I can't find any threads about it (only two about controller setups)

But mine won't run, all I get is a black screen. no loading, nothing.

oh yeah, it doesn't run on my VGS either, just stays at the loading screen and crashes my comp (like VGS does all the time

It oughta work, at least on earlier versions of epsxe, but the font was unreadable AFAIK.
