Question Could someone help....pls.

Hi guys,

Sorry if i am repeating this question cos u may have heard it a gazzilion times...

I am trying to run my pal version of Suikoden 1 on my PC but all I get is a black screen. Tried all sorts of BIOS, configs. and CD ROMs but no results.

All I get is a black screen...

I am running it on a P4 system. 512 cache, 32 MB GC 128MB RD Ram...

I tried to run it on VGS, it is working fine but can't save...anyways ePSXe is the best psx emu. around...

I appreciate ur help...

thx

Hrm.
I'm probly not the best person to respond to this as im relatively new to emulation bu i guess the first thing to suggest would be trying to run it as an ISO. like i said, im not too good but who knows maybe it will help. I hope so man. tell us how it turns out

no,......he ll get a black screen even if it was an iso. the problem is choosing an APPROPRIATE video plgin and cofigure it well. if you dont have a 3D card, use a software rending plugin. such as PEOPs and Kazzuya software plugin. otherwise i would recomend using PEte's Open Gl v1.65 if you have a 3D card. for more info on configuration, visit Lord Kane homepage

Is your cd drive at least TRYING to read the cdrom when you emulate it? if not, check the cd rom plugin you are using. another point., did ja configure your video plugin?

I remember borrowing this game from a friend a looonnnggg time ago (PAL version, same as yours), and it took me quite some time to get it working in ePSXe. In the end, it required an unusual BIOS file to work (SCPH1000, IIRC).

well,............just to check if the problem is in epsxe itself, why dont you try downlaoding VGS demo and see if it works or not? if it didnt, then the problem must be in the cd itself , i am afraid

For the record, I really meant SCPH1000. This game seems to require this particular BIOS.
