FF7 menu text problem

This question is stupid, but my crappy computer forced me.I play FF7 with Pete's video plugin, with a resolution of 320X240 in window mode. The plugin is the most recent to be updated. The text in the menu is terrible, the letters are incomplete and has a total lack of comprehension.Only with this plugin exists the bug,and I can't use others because they suck.I hope someone will lend me a hand.

If im not mistaken there's a special fix for FF7 in pete's gpu config ?

anyways.. its sounds like a filtering config to me .. drop the filtering or change it to another level .

I don't have a clue about what you're referring to. Can you post a pic, list your system specs, and tell us what type of EPSXE configuration are you using? Specifics does help in answering your question.

Also, which of pete's plugin are you using? Hardware or software? Hardware I can see a problem, but software should emulate FF7 just fine. You might wanna update your vid drivers if you're using the hardware based plugins though.

I'd have to agree with
Chaos Dragoon on this one. Check the screenshot below. The method of enabling the ff7 fix is highlighted in red. If that doesn't work, try changing the option highlighted in green to something else to see if that improves things.

Be sure to convert the .bmp file to .jpg before you post it up.

Almost right. It's the object desktop suite (windowblinds is one of the programs included in it). The other obvious part of the suite in that shot is desktopX.

Try my settings, I got my FF7 running flawlessly here. But since you have a low-end graphic card, I think it's the best to use a software GPU plugin such as PEOPS and E}|{'s.

Plugin: Pete's D3D Driver 1.1.65
Author: Pete Bernert
GFX card: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Fullscreen - [32 Bit]

Textures:
- R8G8A8A8
- Filtering: 4
- Hi-Res textures: off
- Palettized tex windows: on
- Garbage collection: on
- VRam size: 64 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 3
- Framebuffer texture: 2
- Framebuffer access: 0
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: hardware

Misc:
- Scanlines: off [0]
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Full vram: off
- Game fixes: on [00000001]

Thanks!!!

Thank you for helping me out.It seemed that the fix's in the filtering option.Turning the preset extended mode solved it.My computer can't handle 640X480 resolutions.
