Question Final Fantasy 8 Problem

Alright. Im in the Ragnarok, and the guy on the radio has just finished telling me to turn off the gravity, and ive done that, and now... my game does nothing. Squall just sits there and blinks like a fool, and Rinoa stands in the background looking all pretty, or whatever, but the game doesn't advance. At all. Ive tried :

Saving at that point and reloading.
Loading an earlier save and playing from there.
Not using save states at all (ie, loading a game the normal way)

Nothing works. Im pretty clueless when it comes to set-ups for the game, but the one I had has taken me this far, so far... but anyway, im at a loss. Ill post my set-up here, if anyone has any ideas to help it would be GREATLY appreciated... thanks for your time!

If I remember properly, that's the part where you hear Eyes on Me. I'm not sure about the PSX version but in the PC version it plays the music from an audio track on the CD. If you're playing from an ISO, try the original CD. If that's still no good then enable/disable CDDA audio in the sound plugin setup and ePSXe sound settings.

Thanks for the try

I actually normally play without sound off, but that gave me the idea to try with sound on, but no luck. Thanks very much for the idea though!

I am using the original CD for the game. And it's mint conidition compared to some of the other CD's I have.

Im just not sure what's going on!

Guess Ill go back to FF7, I wanted to play it anyways.

Try posting up your latest memcard of save state, and see if anyone can get past that point for you. Make sure you tell us which version of FF8 you are using.

I suggest you set your frame limit to the orginal speed IE 60fps or put the automatic setting on.. timing will be an issue at this point because it's playing a CD track. This spot worked flawlessly (I was surprised) for me, so I know my settings worked dandy. Be Sure you do NOT have the use PC fps calculation on or it will never work right I noticed you have Ignore Black Brightness color fix on.. I suggest you switch OFF special game fixes for this game. You also probably shouldn't have the alpha multipass on or Framebuffer settings beyond 0 Offscreen drawing is fine where it is.

As for VRAM size, I suggest setting it too automatic unless it can't detect your cards VRAM size.

Upgrade to 1.1.65 for the GPU it has some added features

Check your settings for your audio and the GPU plugin, you probably should use the internal SPU for this part as well, it's not perfect but it should work fine some of the plugins have some problems for some reason when CD audio is toggled on. Also use the internal CD driver for this part, it seems to work better.
