the text and sound work fine however
I'm running pete's d3d plugin 1.65
i'm running a radeon all in wonder

if anybody has had this problem and knows how to fix it any help would be apreciated thanks

Can you post a screenshot? Also, what's the configuration you're using for Pete's Plugin? Use the built-in "Copy Settings to Clipboard", and paste the information here.

Why don't u use VGS? I finished 2 times with it. The prob with this game in EPSXE is that u need Offscreen Drawing, making the game slower.

Offscreen Drawing shouldn't be much of a performance hit.

Here's a bare-minimum config that should work with pretty much any card:

Plugin: Pete's D3D Driver 1.1.65

GFX card: RADEON 8500/RADEON 8500LE

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Window mode

Textures:

- Hi-Res textures: off
- Palettized tex windows: off
- Garbage collection: on
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer texture: 0
- Framebuffer access: 0
- Alpha multipass: off
- Mask bit: off
- Advanced blending: none

Misc:
- Scanlines: off [0]
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Full vram: off
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

Thanks for your help.

But after set the option you give me, it is still the same.

There's only one thing different between you and me :

our GFX card is different. (mine is NVIDIA RIVA TNT2/TNT2 Pro)

Strangely, older pete gpus (before 1.65) work fine to me.

here's the situation for each ver. of pete gpu on Persona2EP :

1.66~1.65 : graphics messed up.

1.64~1.60 : graphics look fine, but the game freeze when you
enter some place.
( People have motioned that maybe is because of
the fix for Soul Hacker )

1.59 : work fine, no major problem.

Should I send a e-mail to Pete for this problem?

IIRC, there was only in some older version (~1.62).

Also try to update your video card driver but I doubt there's the problem.

I only have a save state of that game, but in this save the game needed enabled "gfx card" framebuffer textures/framebuffer access settings, as far as I remember.
