All of my video problems are fixed (Thanks to Decoy_Octupus, fivefeet8, and Lewpy himself.) All I had to do was (properly) update my Voodoo drivers. Now I need help with sound glitches.
The sound effect made by the swirling battle intro is VERY "scratchy." and the audio during an FMV is "jumpy." And the Moogle Flute sounds like a fog horn. They're not BIG problems, but they get extremely annoying. Here's my sound configuration: I have all of the options checked here. Plugin: Pete's Dsound Audio Driver 1.15 (not using ePSXe's SPU core because it causes the battle music to screw up and continue even after the battle is over.) Plugin's configuration: Volume - medium XA playing - enabled Change XA speed - Disabled Misc - 0: Fast Mode SPU IRQ - Disabled Developer Debug Mode - Disabled Again. . . Any help would be highly appreciated. Last edited by Mako Eyes; August 26th, 2002 at 03:19. |

Wait, I've got that fixed now. . . All I had to do was disable the SPU IRQ thingy in the main options and enable it in the Plugin's options. Thanks Yeloazndevil987 and Phoenix Flame!
GREAT!! Now ePSXe is optimized for Final Fantasy 9. But I still have a slowdown problem (It gets reeeeally bad in Lindbulm's air-cab stations!) But then again. . . Who ever heard of any emulator for any system running at 100% speed 100% of the time. Maybe my RAM upgrade will speed it up a bit. . . |
