Arc the Lad
I have a Pentium 4 1.7 gigHz, 512 meg ram. For some reason, the emulator starts to take up ALL of the processing time/system resources. What the frikk is going on?

The emulation is a hard process per se, don't try to do a lot of things at the same time...

the emu (well, more exactly the gpu) will 'eat up' cpu cycles to get the right speed (with fps limitation). You can now argue if it would better to be more multi-tasking friendly, but the current solution has a much better reaction timing.

What is it running really slow? If so make sure you have the latest drivers for your video/ sound.
