Problems with Castlevania Chronicles.
Hello ppl. I hope some one can help me with this problem. I am currently using epsxe v. 1.52 with Pete's soft gpu, Null's audio sound driver, epsxe's internal cd rom driver on Win 98se on Anthlon 1.4 and Geforce 3. When I try to run this game I get illegall messages and the program shuts down. Does any body have any ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

change your sound plugin. eternal for this game is really great.
i see you have a geforce 3. change your gpu plugin to pete opengl, and you can improve the graphics with the filtering options... if it didn't work post the error message, i'll try to help you mister. |

I'm having what I think is a sound-related problem. At random points during the game, I experience a freeze + sound loop. I am using the Eternal plugin at its default configuration.
When I changed the audio out method from "Thread" to "Timer", the sound corrupted a few seconds through the game, though it did not freeze. Any thoughts?

yes, i didn't noice this bug rave, because i'm playing eternal only with the "timer" option which is more compatible than the "thread" sound processing.
i have found another bug. epsxe freezes at locks up my computer if i press start+select duriing the game (soft resetting). |

Hmmm, seems like it's sure to lock up if you die in stage 12 and restart the stage. It happened even with ePSXe's internal SPU plugin. I'm currently tweaking the settings...
