Exclamation Cant get FF9 to work w/ GForce 4

Ok, I just got a new Geforce 4 Ti4200...tried to get it to work with FF9. It wouldnt work. I have the latest version of everything.
When I try to run it off of CD it minimizes and disapears. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Try running it from an ISO. That usually helps things a bit. What version of windows are you using?

Try using the internal CDR plugin, or Pete's CDR plugin if you aren't willing to make an ISO. You can use CDRWin, or Blindread to make an ISO.

I tried making an ISO... with no difference. It seems like it will work, then all of a sudden it crashes to desktop (w/ no errors)
Is there something else wrong?

Yeah, all remnants of my last video card are gone. Earlier today I tried to play FF9 w/ an OpenGL plugin...it worked but the sound was horrible and the graphics were really bad. The GForce 4 should use a DX D3D plugin, shouldnt it?

Thanks for the help everyone
I got it working perfectly.
But there is one more problem...lately the game has been freezing at the victory screen (the screen that pops up after you have defeated an enemy to show how much gil you recieved). It keeps doing it. It doesnt matter how long I have played it! Has anyone ran across this problem before? Not much is running in the background, and my screen saver and monitor shut off are all turned off. It is really starting to tick me off because i cant get anywhere if it keeps crashing! Any solutions? Thanks

I also cannot get FF9 to work.
I don't think it is a graphics problem, i think its something with the CD pluggins.
I have epsxe 1.5.2
I can get other games to work, just not ff9.

I want to try making an ISO, how do you do that?

If it's a PAL version, try using subchannel reading mode,if it still doesn't work, download the PPF patch available on this site, and use it one the game(you can use it via Pete's CDR plugin).

Yes it is PAL.
I tried what you said and it still doesn't work. I got a cheat menu first and that worked (i guess thats the PPF patch which was four files, none of which with a .ppf extension, have i got the correct thing). But after i leave the cheat menu, it just goes blank, the reading light on the CD drive flashes but nothing happens.
