FFIX BATTLE PROBLEMs

I know this has been posted a thousand times but i have realized that every computer and plugins are different.

I am have problems with FFIX battle scenes the sound seems to chop and the video seems to lag.

I am running epsxe 1.7 and Pete's Opengl2 2.9 here is the config.

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: GeForce 8600M GT/PCI/SSE2

Resolution/Color:
- 1024x768 Window mode
- Internal X resolution: 2
- Internal Y resolution: 2
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off
- No render-to-texture: on

- Filtering: 4
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- TexWin pixel shader: on
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 1
- Framebuffer effects: 3
- Framebuffer uploads: 1

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: on
- Shader effects: 0/1
- Flicker-fix border size: 0
- GF4/XP crash fix: off
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

Here is my CPU
OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium

System Model XPS M1530

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz, 2201 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)

Adapter Type GeForce 8600M GT, NVIDIA compatible

Adapter Description NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 3.00 GB

Adapter RAM 256.00 MB (268,435,456 bytes)

I figured my computer would be able to run this with out a problem, so i assumed it was the plugins or the config. If i missed any information that might help let me know. THanks in advanced.

does this performance issue last throughout the entire battle or does it only show up at specific parts such as the transition effect (the "battle swirl" in other words) between field view and combat view or when certain actions are used like spells and other flashy stuff.

it happens once i start to actually fight, the first character will be fine but after that the sound skips and the video lags a bit, same with the cursor. The swirl meaning the transition from game to battleground is fine no lag. the rest of the game is fine as well

but i tought his specs are enough for playing PS2 emu's?

anyway try setting the performance rather than the graphic, though i really don't know the real issue of your problem
