Twisted Metal - no music

Whenever I play the original Twisted Metal, it runs perfectly—other than the fact that it has no music. I can hear sounds and all perfectly, and I can hear the music when it shows the demo of the game, but I cannot hear music when I actually play. This is no big problem, it just takes away from the gameplay a little. Any help would be appreciated.

The core one from 1.5.2. I haven't tried another, and I'm using an image.

I tried it, it had tracks in .44d on the virtual disc, but when I tried running it with epsxe there was still no music.

try using epsxe 1.7.0 with the spu core (version 1.7.0 not 1.5.2). im starting to lean towards the possibility that this game you have uses CDDA audio, which the spu core plugin supports, so try that out. one other thing you could do to rule out a few things is to test the game on another emulator like psx or pcsx. if the sound works correctly with either of them then it would narrow down the possible causes of this sound issue.

I tried it with pSX, music didn't work. But I guess I'll try 1.7.0.

Music isn't working with 1.7.0 with SPU core. Anything else I should try? :/
