Suikoden 2 - editing a gamesave.

Hi. I've played through Suikoden 2 before, when it came out on the PS. I'm now emulating it using ePSXe and I want to do the Clive quest (it's a timed quest) without having to rush through the game, so I figured I'd try to edit the save to set my playtime at 0:00. I opened the memcard in hex but I have no idea where the info I'm looking for is or what to do when I find it. Anyone know where the Suikoden 2 playtime data is stored in the save file? Thanks in advance, and any sort of instructions would be helpful.

Check in here: GameFAQs: Suikoden II (PS) Game Save Hacking Guide by DHolmes

Is this type of code one that doesn't work with PEC? I know Suikoden 2 has issues with item codes.

Thanks for the info. I've found the relevant locations, but I'm having trouble editing them. Be forewarned, I'm new to this. Anyway, at locations $0216, $0218, $021A I changed 3000 to 0000 thinking that would reset the time, but it still says the same thing... I also changed the 3000's at $1C24, $1C26, $1C28 to 0000 but it doesn't change anything. Where am I going wrong?

Thanks.

Hmm... what hex editor are you using? I used PSXGameEdit back in the day, and that worked well. But I assume as long as you're using a PSX save editor it'll be fine. Whatever program it is, find out how the editor is saving. Some will save in a new memory card file (in case of corruption), so you'll have to point ePSXe to that file (or save over the original).
