Digimon World Problem

Ok well i dont know that its a really big issue. But during the game, when it has to count down just about anything.. Such as when your training the digimon and the number your stats increased by, goes down by 1 and adds to your total lvl, or when it counts down the bits that you win from battle, for some reason I cannot skip that countdown by pressing a button, while my two friends playing the game at the same time can. Also, when counting down the bits, sometimes after it finishes, it just never loads after that, it stays on the same screen. Help please

test this game on another emulator like psx real quick to see if this occurs in something other than epsxe.

Thanks for the settings, it does make the game run smoother. But it does not fix the problem Im having. I tried it on the emulator PSX, and it works perfectly, so it has to be something with ePSXe. The thing is though, both my friends are using ePSXe and its working normally for them

how are you playing the game, from the disc or from an image of it? if you are using an image, what format did you make it in?

Im playing the game as an ISO image. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it either, as both my friends and I took the image off the same disc. Unless something went wrong when i did it lol

hmmm are you playing it on the latest version?
because iam and nothings wrong with it. theres just some minor glitches when digivolving but can be solved after digivolving save then load.

use the latest version of epsxe or the second latest. if you think it has gotta do something with the emulator why not use the one that your friend has?

Hope that helps because ive always asked for help in this forum and i always get hel its nice if i can help too =P

thanks cane, it is nice when people do help. But i dont believe that the version I have is the problem, as both my friends are using the same version of epsxe as I am, and the same image off the same disc. My friend is actually playing the exact same image as I am because I just copied it on to a flash drive, and he plays it from there. The image is an ISO, it says that its in PowerISO format, as I use powerISO with all my games and images. I dont know what it could be, because pSX works perfectly for it, but epsxe does not for me, yet it works for both my friends, who are using the same image, and same version.

i hate to tell you this but i sort of have to now because you are starting to drift into territory that you dont really want to drift into here. i dont want to leave you hanging either so for now im going to assume the disc is yours therefore the image you are using is fair game because legally-speaking, only the owner of the actual disc is entitled to make and use images from it, so you should all have your own individual discs. sharing the disc or passing around images from the same disc is not legal we cant offer support for people doing that kind of thing. i also dont want to land myself in trouble for helping where i shouldnt but in this case, as long as the disc is yours and the image you are using came from it, unless one of the mods say otherwise- i dont mind helping you. just be careful about what you say because you dont want to break any rules and lose any support you can get here.

anyway im starting to bore myself so back to your issue- the best thing to try and figure out at this point is if the issue is limited to occuring with the image only, or both the image and the disc. i think you should try playing the game from the disc to see if it still shows up. if it doesnt then your image is most likely the problem. on the other hand, if it does show up, then its either related to your plugins/settings or your system. if you could do this it will be a big help in troubleshooting here because since i dont have this game myself, i cant really suggest game-specific things. and just to make sure i understand you right, your main problem is some sort of freeze?

btw what are the format(s) that program can create? i dont use that program so im not really familiar with what it is able to do. basically what you want to make sure of is that your image is an a format that contains subchannel data, .bin/.cue, .ccd/.img/.sub, or mdf/mds will work, the main one you want to avoid is the .iso format.

Sorry for that, I guess I'll have to read through the rules more carefully next time.

Ok so I tried it off the disc and the same thing is happening. Ill try converting the .iso image into something else, probably .bin/.cue first
