FF7 -- Battle Swirl thingy
I've searched the forums, and used suggested configurations, but none of them have worked for me
![]() Here's what I'm using: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...de65/EPSXE.jpg My stats on my computer are: 2 GB Ram Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz I think my graphics card is the Movile INtel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family The only problem with the game is the battle swirl. Other than that, everything runs fine. I tried clicking the fast default setting, but that made everything run waaaayyyy too fast. I'm currently using ePSXe 1.6 Any help would be greatly appreciated .

For FFVII you should use ePSXe 1.5.2, and probably this config
http://www.lordkane.co.uk/images/FF7-OGL1.png - It's for the OpenGL plugin, but I guess it should be the same. If that doesn't work out, I'd try a software plugin or the pSX emulator. |

It has to do with the framebuffer settings. If you want the swirl to behave as it does on a PSX, you have to set the framebuffer effects to their most "complete" settings. However, i don't know whether your video card (being an onboard thing rather than a separate card) can handle it. You may have to just put up with limited framebuffer effects, or buy a video card.
For the record, i had no problem playing FF7 in 1.6.0, but i used Pete's OGL2 plugin and my card can handle full framebuffer effects. |

I think it may be possible by buying one of those "Go" cards or something you put in an extension slot :S Can't say for sure though.
Asus XG Station: external graphics card pimps your laptop's graphics Looks interesting, I guess it'll run emus at least D: |

green lines are usually the result of having hi res textures and/or texture filtering enabled.

Doesn't look like that Asus XG got released.
But if I turn down that hi res stuff, then I might not have the battle swirly anymore ;x. Gosh I wish I had a decent graphics card .-. EDIT: I just checked, and both textured and high-res are at 0 o.o |
