Sound gets messed up in MGS.
I am using Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
I have no Idea what my SPU is, but as far as I know, it works for pretty much everything else. My config is: Audio device: DirectSound Buff. size: 64 Audio out method: SPUasync Async mode: Wait Misc: Show realtime config window-- off Wait for XA buffer is free-- Off Cache VAG decode-- Off Finetune [-360 - 360]: 0 Reverb: Off Special Game fix: Update before accessing register-- Off SPU IRQ - Wait CPU action-- On SPU IRQ - Force interruption flag7-- Off |

this game is difficult to get working correctly and i dont even play it on an emulator (i have the pc version) but i will do what i can to sort things out for you here, generally this is what i use for my eternal spu setup:
i have the top 3 out of the 4 boxes ticked in the spu selection menu, and in the spu config: audio device- directsound buffer size- 64 audio-out method- thread all 3 special game fixes enabled "wait for XA buffer is free" enabled under the "misc" section neill's reverb if that doesnt help read over this thread, it has some slightly different suggestions regarding the sound setup.
