Overlapping dialogue problem in RE2 cutscenes.

Hi, I have a serious problem with RE2!
Here's the problem:

On 2nd scenario Claire
(When you complete the game as Leon, then load in cd2, then load the saved game from Leon's completed game as Claire)
I have a problem with one conversation in the cutscene where Claire finds Leon wounded on the ground from being shot by Annette,
the conversations goes a little something like this:

Claire: "What happened, your bleeding!"
Leon: "I ran into this woman, who was in trouble"
Leon: "Her names.... Ada"

By this time, the game has completely freezed, but the conversation goes on:

Annette: "That's right, the destruction is caused by none other than my husband"
Claire: "Sherry, let's go"
Claire: "Hang in there Sherry!"
Sherry: "Claire, isn't this..."
Claire: "Stay here!"

And it goes on for about 4-5 more lines, then ends with:

Operator(?): "This sequence may not be apported"

My point is, I can't continue playing, since the game has frozen!

Although I almost laughed my ass of the first couple of times,
it gets pretty damn annoying after a while

Is there a way to skip cutscenes in RE2,
or a built in feature for this in ePSXe 1.6.0?

Thanks for trying to help out, but didn't do squat

Edit: Unless you mean that I should reload a savegame from the memcard from before my savestate?
What I did now,
was load the savestate,
then save the game,
then quit ePSXe,
then load up the game,
go into load game>Memory Card 1>Load game

I'm using a img/ccd image,
I've tried using the cd as well,
but it didn't work anyway.

The only thing I haven't tried yet,
is mounting the image in Daemon Tools
and loading it like a CD,
should I try that as well?

try playing it from the cd using the ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2 cdrom plugin and enable subchannel reading from cdrom. and im somewhat confused on your description of the issue, are you saying that the voice dialogues are cut short and dont finish like they are supposed to or are you saying that there is dialogue from totally different parts of the game being mixed together with one another? i know how to fix the first one but if the latter is what you are saying is happening, this is something ive never seen before.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that!
The first three sentences are from the right cutscene, but the rest isn't!
Maybe that's why the game freezes?
If this won't work, I'll try to transfer my memcard to another emu, and try to get past that spot and save, then go back to ePSXe.

I think some of it exists on both disk,
but some of it comes from CD2,
but nevermind the problem,
it's been solved,
I just downloaded pSX and loaded the save,
went past the freeze point,
and saved again,
problem solved,
atleast for the moment,
so it seems that it is something with ePSXe's compability with RE2,
or something like that ^^

Best Regards

Malmern

Ps. Thanks again for your assistance
