Castlevania - SOTN (Symphony)

Ok I've gotten the game "from a friend" and it's an .mdf file. This has been the only file i've not been able to play on ePSXe. Now I went and got a new video plugin. (Pete's openGL2) and instead of just not running it's telling me I have missing shaders. I'm still new in emulation and I'm trying hard to understand it better. I was just wondering if it was a file type problem, maybe converting to ISO would make it better? Or is it just my version of ePSXe? (1.6.0) If anyone has and ideas please shoot them over.

sorry but you need to get your own copy of the game if you want support here. however to clear up some things for you that are not really related to that: the OGL2 error you get likely means your video card does not meet the requirements needed for that plugin, its intended for higher-end and more recent video card models. there are other messages that you could get related to shaders that are triggered by other things, but since you didnt specify which one you are getting im assuming you are getting the most common one. also converting image file formats does not work at all unless the image in question is already in the correct format, but if thats the case there is no need to convert the format anyway. and the only games i know of that are affected by the version of epsxe in use are ff9 and chrono cross, some other games might perform better under a certain version but those two are the only games that need to be used with a specific version in order to work at all for most people. if you want specific help for that game you need to buy your own copy first because what you are doing is against the rules here.
