Catalyst 7.10 and lower are known not to have a problem, Catalyst 7.12 and higher are known to have the problem.

All catalysts have issues with NPOT, though some have a semi working implementation, where others don't.

usually the catalyst control center has an info page which lists the current driver version.

I wish I had the cap to just download some 300 MB demos for a test but unfortunately I don't....I do have the original HomeWorld game though...will that help?
Also Squall what should I be looking at in the OpenGL extension viewer?

Also as I said, my card seems to be propperly using MS's OpenGL stuff (as PC Wizard says if I click on the 2nd tab)...I have no mention of OpenGL at those registry entries....nor does my Device Manager have such a category as Device GUID....I guess it's a Vista thing...

And I don't know if this makes any difference, I don't have crossfire, and this 'secondary' has identicle registry entries, this was found by selecting 'show hidden devices' in device manager

ATI are gay and install 2 drivers to run dual monitors, unlike Nvidia which can do it off 1.
