does the patch also fix random in-game crashing? because if it does i'm gonna restart my game and use it since it always crashes when loading

It does. The AR code fixes the loading hangup, the patch fixes the random crashes.

Or else you can use the combo of DS Firmware + Patch if you have the firmware. :)

i tried the patch then loading the save but it still crashed. hence why i'm restarting

my soul silver worked fine for a wile with thisan now before i can load just after the title screen i get a box saying "a communication error has occurred. you will be returned to the title screen. please press A button." in the top screen i am useing NO$zoomer ver 3.2.0.2 any idea why this is happening?

I think the patch helped the pokeathlon a little bit for me; I was able to get through one round, the one where you break the stacked plates streetfighter 2-style, before the lag dropped down to 1FPS. Before the patch, it was too laggy to even start one round.

But it's still too much laggy...

Just Import save in Desmume...It runs at normal speed there ;)

Or you can use an AR code to give you max Pokeathon points so you don't have to bother doing the events :p

Unless if you like the minigames...

But that would just be cheating:p xD
