Network Boot (windows xp) from my main CP

i have a network card with the option of network boot and i have a laptop HP DV9000 without a working CD drive so i was searching how to install win xp from my main computer (in the bios menu there is network boot option so i assume that its possible) to my laptop

basically what i want is formatting my laptop with my main computer (theorically using my CD drive on my cp to format my laptop with just a network cable)

i found this french article about it but i didn't understand much

If I remember correctly you need to start a tftp server in order to install Windows from the network.
Easier method would be to boot from the USB stick instead.

Install Windows over the network with PXE » Lockstockmods

Sounds pretty complicated.... the alternate ways to install it (like USB drives) sound better, if the laptop is capable of booting from USB.

Try PXE Boot Windows - the easy way » Lockstockmods instead, its much easier and quicker than the first one
