Ace combat series

One of my fav games ever is Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War

Has any managed to get this or any other ace game to run well?

Yes,Ace Combat series can work in pcsx2.
But only Ace Combat 4 runs well.You can use pcsx2 0.9.4 or 0.9.5 beta to play the game.I get 60FPS,full speed in my core2 3.0G CPU.
Ace Combat 5&zero can only run in Pcsx2 0.8.1(the far old version of pcsx2).The game speed is slow,and there is a lot of 3D graphic errors... I think there must be a bug in pcsx2 0.9 series,which stop the emulation at the two game's logo(there is no response when you push start buttom at the game logo.)

I have Ace Combat4 Thunder Storm(PAL) and it's hanging at the begining of the mission. Only training course working well. Maybe there is some cure for my problem?

To play mission,you must push start button constantly when the menu is changing(especially when there is a "loading..."in the screen).because that will skip movie or something else which makes the emulator halt.

It's hangs on mission briefing(or better say goes into the loop) But I'll try your advice

Sorry,it's my mistake.
AC5 & AC zero can run in pcsx 0.9.1!
With the latest gsdx 0.1.7 plugin,you can enjoy the two game with fair well speed and less graphic errors.

BTW - does anyone have a patch for AC4 U? I can't find CRC anywhere in the console window :/ I'm using the most recent build...

To find the crc - run the game, hit esc, switch to the console <dos-like second window of PCSX2> and scroll it up. Here's ur crc. Or simply before running the game, disable patches in 'Misc' menu and crc should appear on the title bar of the console.

Oh, one more thing. Could you suggest me any good settings for ZeroGS 0.97 or GSdx 0.1.4? Can't get any decent speed on ZeroGS 0.97 (and there's a lot of artiafcts) but GSdx 0.1.4 is faster (though I get ~30fps). In the past I managed to get ~50fps but I messed up with settings and can't get more again :/

I'm trying to get AC4 to work but I only have the PAL version.
When I launch the game I can't have more than 20FPS during a mission (trying many configuration with my graphic plugins)
I have a correct hardware :
-2.6GHz dual core
-2Go RAM
-Geforce 8600GS
-other stuff I don't remember
I'm using an ISO of the game (should I use the DVD ?)
I'm running under Vista
I only use the plugins featured in the install of PCSX2 (maybe I should try others ?)

Is there any solution to my problem ? since playing at 20FPS with graphic errors isn't great

Iso is best, and please don't do a necro to this degree.

Weak graphics card, processor is ok, but if you OC'ed it, it'd help, not to much.

Is it a Laptop?

Also, since yer in Vista, use DX10 mode with GSdx 1.7.

Otherwise, without replacing yer GFX card and over-clocking yer CPU(or getting a new one too) Along with optimizations in the future, those are the speeds your stuck at.

Try using the Guide in my signature to get it running, too.

i'm sorry when i said "correct" i meant an avergae computer (not good, but not too bad)

I tried a good configuration to see how are the graphics (even with low FPS but when I use the GSdx graphic driver I have awful graphics bugs)

I managed to get decent FPS using "native" configuration but still with the graphic bugs... At least i can play =)

in 2-3 mission even my HUD is bugged (can't see the hud if the plane aim for the sky) is it normal ?
does this kind of bug can come from the fact i'm using the PAL version of the game ?
