New user, could need some help regarding a savegame

Hi,

I recently heard about PCSX2, and first of all, I would like to thank the developers for developing such an amazing application.

The actual reason why I started a new thread, is because I would really appreciate some help regarding a save game.

I'm trying to get "Star Wars Episode III Revenge of The Sith" halfway running (I'm aware that it is listed as "ingame"). I've read that a savegame is required in order to play a few levels, because the game crashes when the Star Wars logo is shown.

So, I've got a .cbs savegame downloaded at Video Game Cheats - Video Game Reviews - Video Game Codes - Video Game Web Site - GameFAQs of the game now. However, I'm completely unexperienced with ps2 modding.

Would anyone be so kind and explain me the necessary steps in an understandable way, or even convert the savegame for me?

Thanks a lot in advance

Sure, You can go here:
GameFAQ Saves to PCSX2 MemoryCard's

I am assuming you have already formatted the memory card in PCSX2. If not, you can simply replace the memory cards with the memory card files in the formattedmemcard.7z attachement.

I'm sorry, I think I need to ask a very dumb question.
I'm new to emulation. Are you talking about formatting a real memory card, or the virtual, emulated one?

Thanks for your reply!

No question is a dumb question.

I'm talking about the emulated ones.

Okay, thank you.
Everything worked well so far, but I've got a problem at step 25.
I open boot.elf, but it just keeps counting frames with no end in sight, and the console says that a file called system.cnf cannot be found.

"system.cnf was not found" is not a problem,it's something normal...look here

Thanks a lot, it worked flawlessly .
Unfortunately, there are a lot of graphical issues in the game I want to play, and noone seems to have big interest in or experience with this game. Guess I'll have to wait for the next update.

Thanks a lot for the help to both of you!
