Unhappy Memory Allocation Error

Quote:
Failed to allocate enough memory to run pcsx2. Try closing down background programs, restarting windows, or buying more memory.

Launch TLB version of pcsx2 (pcsx2t)?
I never had this problem before, and i was allways running pcsx2.exe

This problem appeared after i tried the 256-color trick. (Right after that, or should i say, in the middle)

Now even if i restart windows, or reinstall pcsx2, it doesn't help.

I have 1 gb of ram, and 3 gb of virtual memory, but just to mension, i saw a guy, that had this problem, and he had a good comp. (very good even)

So i think this is more of an pcsx2 problem, than the one, where i don't have enough memory. I repeat: I allways used pcsx2.exe before this happened.

Pcsx2 coders, will you fix this bug please?

It use to be stickied, but if you gave the site a read through you would have found it in the download section.

Hello,

I have the same problem and i have 4Gb RAM (in fact only 3.2 because of 32bit...) with Vista

unfortunatly the link above doesn't work. it says : "you do not have permission to access this page [...]"

How can i get this file please ?

EDIT: it seems this file is for version 0.9.2 but for me the problem occurs with 0.9.4

Sighness, when you told it to allow you to use the RAM, did you restart? Cause even if it logs you off, you NEED to restart. I have Vista x64, it asked me to unlock it, so I clicked "Yes" It loged off, and on, said it was still locked, so I restarted, and now it works...so many people don't think about a simple, old fashioned "Restart"

the exact error message is
Quote:
---------------------------
Memory Allocation Error
---------------------------
Failed to allocate enough physical memory to run pcsx2. Try closing
down background programs, restarting windows, or buying more memory.

Launch TLB version of pcsx2 (pcsx2t.exe)?
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------
if I click yes, it launch the pcsx2t.exe which is slower. How can I told him to allow to use the Ram ? :O

in the console output it says :
Quote:
Cannot reserve memory at 0x74ff0000(0), error: 487.
MapUserPhysicalPages failed to unmap, error 87.
I have UAC disabled, I tried Windows XP SP2 Compatibility, Run as administrator, but nothing work.

Should be the first question it asks you when you start the VM version man, so I don't know how to manually do it, but just google "Unlocking Virtual Memory"

well i had this problem with a vista install i had, basicly i alocated the mem, and still wouldnt work (even after reboot) so i rebooted again and started it up RIGHT AWAY, before many things got loaded and it was able to seize the memory it needed, now i no longer have to worry bout it.

Are you saying 0.9.4 fixes the problem? If so, then it doesn't seem to fix it for me. Unless I'm doing something wrong. I've been wanting to make a post about it, asking how to get rid of the memory problem instead of restarting. But I didn't want to annoy anyone.
