I'm using the newest beta version and it's quite fast. Besides it plays FMV faster so I'd take the newest possible version

Do not even try 92 unless u r total masochist.:P Really after 94 and 95 beta it's pointless to use 92. Yes it might be a little slower, but in compatibility eh... Believe me u don't want to mess with it. But if u need more speed - use GSDX9 from version 10-8 and higher ones one by one. These r the fastest versions for FF XII - gabest was working on FF XII since 10-7 and each next version was more compatible but eventually also slower. Choose the fastest one.

Note: if u have probs with FMVs in custom res <FF XII PAL-only issue> use 10-9 and higher ones. In one of them <I'm not quite sure which one was it>, gabest implemented hack for FF XII PAL FMVs so they won't show black sh** over the screen.:P

PEOPS SPU2 with interpolation set to fastest works best for me in FF XII.

with P.E.Op.S you'll get the FMV freezing problem thou, but he's right it's the best :P

it's not like you watch the FMVs all the time :x

I just wanted to get back into ffxii since i never beat it on ps2 and i dont have a tv in my room.. thought id try this out.. i used the how to get pcsx2 to run most games guide and it worked great..

my system runs the game great no problems with lag, and the higher resolution rocks, but i just started the game and i see the screen kind of flickers black.. Any solution? i know there could be tons of posibilities as far as my computer drivers but i doubt it my system is pretty good.

Hi, first, sorry for my english i will try write the best possible

I have a problem with the videos (they are called FMV?) i read a lot of post about FFXII but i dont find my solution...
My problem is:
When im playing Perfect FFXII And a video (like the intro) start, i cant see it very well, like the picture (See it big)

But game runs perfect (Pal version), My config:
Here i post D3D internal res: 1280x1024 and the video seems black like the attached image, but if i put Native on D3D Internal res, Video looks PERFECT, BUT, ingame FF12 looks too bad, without AA and very pixelated

If anyone can help me...

You do have 3D problems, probably drivers related.

First: Download the Lastest DirectX here.

Second: Install the lastest Driver available for your graphics card. If it is a Nvidia go here, if it is a ATI go here.

Third: Check if it worked, if not come back and tell me your video card model.

That error was fixed in an earlier version of gsdx if i remember correctly. I don't know why you have that problem. The author of gsdx added game specific information for each different PAL version of FFXII in his plugin. I think that the spanish PAL was fixed too. You're using the spanish PAL aren't you?
And I wonder, do you even have full speed in FFXII? Judging from the fps in the intro, I doubt it..

Not quite right. That's probably PAL FF XII with its CRC not added to FF XII PAL FMVs hack in GSDX.

@IVaX check crc of ur copy of FF XII and report it here. Eventually when gabest release new version of GSDX ur prob will be fixed. For now use 'native' d3d internal res setting, but ingame 3d graphic will look worse with it than with higher custom one.

Disable patches <misc menu> and run the game in windowed mode. Hit escape and take a look at 'ps2 output' window. Here's an example.

Good. Then post it in this thread <and attach the screenshot of it so gabest won't miss it>. I'm sure he'll add it in no-time after his returning.
