Disgaea 2 problems...

The game runs at a very good speed but the controls often go completely null and I'm unable to control anything in the game, and when I'm listening to music, it also pauses the music until I get my controls back. It seems like it's freezing my computer, perhaps due to all the CPU usage? Is there any solution to this? I can barely play when the controls keep going in and out every second or two.

Comp specs:
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE
1GB RAM
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ at 2.210 Ghz

Pcsx2 specs:
GSdx-sse2
spu2PeopsSound (muted)
cdvdPeops (linuzapp CDVD doesn't work)
LilyPad

did you enable frame-skipping ? try turning it off?

It's still the same, though perhaps not as frequent.
