Anything playable?
Hi there;
I just wanted to ask, if there is any 3D-game that you can play with recent speed (almost 80-100%!)(I mean with 3.3Ghz DualCore and a LowEnd DirectX9 - Card like 7300GT)? I've tested some games: FFX (running excellent) and FFXII (for me FFXII is running with ~50%FPS at the beginning of the tutorial-level) Tales of the Abyss is running not bad, but with the submenu-bug, which is pretty needed in few situations... Super Monkey Ball Deluxe is running very good (if not too many tries); but has a glitch if you are running fast, wich makes hard to navigate Tals of Symphonia is running without glitches (as i can see), but painful slow ingame (just got 20%FPS) Resident Evil 4 is also running pretty well, but too slow (got 60-80%FPS)->this makes hard to play it on a high difficulty Disgaea II is running perfect, but the game sucks after a while (Sry, but I hate random dungeons)... Kingdom Hearts is running also good, but in battles its often to slow These were the best exsamples of my 60 PS2-Games; the rest doesn't start or has to many glitches... @refraction: Yes I know, for you is playable something with 5FPS and glitches; the main point for you is reach the credits... Please don't give me links to the compatibility guide... But thx for the SVNs |

7300GT really limits you 3D wise.
Tales of Abyss is to much to ask with your card, Symphonia? Ah, you imported that, that's right, I mistook it for a GameCube game. Also, your last comment...I don't think people will take kindly to it, it's kind of a slam to the dev's, even 5FPS and glitches in some games is something other emulators never reached. Resident Evil 4 requires a strong GPU, where yours is abit to weak(When I say abit, spend a few hundred dollars extra) FXII requires a decently strong GPU too. Disgaea II information? How is that relevant? Some people like it, we don't care about your opinion of it. If it's running to fast...enable FPS limiter, simple as that.

I've been playing Okami on PCSX2 and its been performing great. I think the more basic graphical style helps speed things up. Plays full speed at 1920x1200 with slowdowns only in large open areas, probably drops to ~40fps at times like that. Admitedly my graphics card is more recent than a 7300 but it might be worth a shot.

Enter the Matrix ran pretty much perfect other than the speed itself (35-40) though I last tested the game back in 269. Considering all the svn changes since then the game could very well run perfect by this point.

Ok, got it; have to buy a new GPU^^ Maybe something with Geforce 9800
But CPU must be ok, there's nothing better except core2duo, but for it i would need a new Mainboard... (Quad Cores don't run with that speed) |
