Anyone who use Phenom --> Pcsx2
How does a Phenom perform compared with a E6600? Is it worth the buy?
Well the pheom would perform better in games and programs, right?

it won't help for PCSX2 because PCSX2 only uses 2 cores, not 4.
and the E6600 would perform better. don't get a phenom, they're crappy processors.

Amd processors could have been as good as Intel Core 2 processors if only they could overclock well. But the reality is, amd suck at overclocking--they are out of the race/game! For pc gaming at stock clock speed Intel still beat Amd for the most part.

intel CPUs the same speed as AMD CPUs seem to perform better. so no reason to go with AMD if you're building a new PC.

yeah.i use to love AMD. had a k6, k7, ath XP, ath64, and my notebook is a turion64. they stopped being competitive with the release of intel CORE 2. when i built a new rig, i was building an x2 6400+ system, but after reading reviews, i had to go with a intel. performance and OCing diff is just too much to stay loyal. i think the phenom has trouble getting past 2.8, where 3.0 is the minimum expected with any intel quad. hopefully, AMD steps it up and i can go back to them for the next rig.
