Kingdom Hearts Configuration Tips

Hey, first time trying to run a PS2 game on PCSX2, trying to learn the best way to configure the program to run Kingdom Hearts smoothly.

I'd be happy if you guys could give me tips on the best plugins and configurations I should use.

you should visit the plugins thread to see the ratings for all the plugins. Anyways since Kingdom hearts isn't a very demanding game you should have no problems running it with these plugins:
Graphics = GSdx latest version (it's the absolute best plugin for graphics)

First Controller = This doesn't matter which one you choose.

Cdvdrom = (any ISO driver(don't use direct from drive plugins because they are way slower))

Sound = This shouldn't matter either, I have no idea which plugin offers better quality sound.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks for the response!

Tried the game using this configuration from all the lastest plugins I could find:

ZeroGS KOSMOS 0.97.1 - Linzuppaz ISO CDVD 0.5.0 - Gigahertz SPU2 1.70

I got a few questions though

1. I should check MTGS/DC, right?

2. while playing the game, I noticed alot of hiccups and repeating in the sound. Is there a way to fix that?

3. I did some snooping around, and saw there's a way to use a memory patch to speed up Kingdom Hearts. How do I use it?

4. Any other tips on smoothing out the game?

Thanks for your replies!

Confirming that those settings work, at nigh full speed on my box, without need for fastmem. KH has a funny glitch near the start with 0.9.4 which upgrading to 0.9.5 will fix .

I do encounter the odd sound glitches now and then, especially with voice acting (the first second or so is cut off). Probably an emulator deficiency and nothing you can configure away though.

If you're using 0.9.5, then enable a speed hack. Enable the Resolve Hack for Kingdom Hearts in ZeroGS if you're using that. Mess a bit with different configuration setups and find one that works for you.
