oh fading, couldn't you helped him directly in one post? lol ^^

@EqKeeper
uuh did you checked your device manager, under processors, are there two of them listed?

when yes you should try to install the Dualcore optimizer here,
but first install the CPU driver

and your AMD has 2.6ghz (~2614mhz), not 5200 LOL ^^
you should learn more about AMD and their modelnumbers

The 2600PRO is actually quite sub par card. It was made in mind for the light gamer and HTPC enthusiast. That's probably your culprit. Do a small overclock and see if you see any improvement.

how are you checking that the processor hangs at 49%?

right-click on your taskbar, and click task-manager.
then goto Performance tab and look at the 2 charts for processor.

when you run PCSX2, the lines should be all the way at the top, unless your graphics card is limiting you.

Well, if you're still interested in overclocking, ATI tool and AMD GPU tool allows you to overclock your GPU. It'll be useful if you want to play with some higher resolution or AA on.

Sounds to me like your haven't enabled dual core mode in pcsx2. Go to Configure >>> CPU >>> checkmark (enable) MTGS (multithreading) and Dual core mode.

On dual cores that ~49% cpu usage is a symptom usually of a program maxing out a single core, but the second core is idling.
