AMD dual core optimizer?

Hello, I am looking for more information on a possible AMD dual core optimizer that I have seen mentioned.

What is this, a plugin or something else?

I'm currently testing a few games using a dual core AMD chipset, so anything that can help the better really.

Impressed with the progress made so far, really great stuff.

Could google it. It's been released by AMD, Small download, few MB, but I hear it can make a world of difference.

Ah, so it is not directly related to PCSX2? I did try some google searches, but used PCSX with my searches, which probally explains why I didn't find anything useful.

Thanks for the help.

AMD's utility has nothing to do with a program being optimized for dual-core or not.

The utility fixes a bug were Windows programs bypass the Windows API to get a tick count. This count is usually not accurate when different power settings are used.

I believe that PCSX2 uses hand optimized synchronization methods. The utility is probably only useful for compiler optimized synchronization.

It affects your entire computer, just get it, it can't hurt.

Thanks for the fast answer! I installed it, but is there anything else I should do? I mean installing it means the programm works automatically, or is there anything else to be done for it to work?

It's automatically. No need to configure anything.
