GS Plugin - Windows

Alright. I've been trying to get the PCSX2 and PCSX2T (first one and then the other) to work for several hours, and both bring up the same error when I attempt to load an ISO or IMG:

Error Opening GS Plugin

Followed by the crashing of either program. I'm quite stumped - I grabbed the BIOS from my PS2, grabbed extra plugins, set them in the programs and then attempted to change the plugins one at a time to see if any of them were the cause of my troubles, but to no avail.

Has anyone else run into this issue? I've tried them both on my desktop and my laptop with the same result. The desktop is a little older than my laptop, but not by much (2-2.5 years).

Help please!

I assume that you are using Vista?

Specify your computer specs (especially graphics card) and plugins used.

If you're trying to load an iso use Linuzappz Iso CDVD plugin and select the iso in the settings.

I'm using XP - and I'm having a bit of difficulty discovering which graphics card I'm using - when I go into the properties tabs it says I've got an Intel(R) 82845G GL Chip, so I'm a bit confused. My laptop has something similar

the other desktop stats:
Pentium 4 2.53 GHz
504MB RAM

The laptop has a P4 Dual Core and a gig of RAM

I had Linuzappz's CDVD plugin selected, but it didn't seem to make a difference - (sorry I keep editing this here!) and in fact I think it gave me another error when I tried to use it.

Your computer is just to weak to get playable speeds in any 3D really, 2D games may not even be full speed with a setup like that, especially since it's a laptop.

Desktop is equally as weak.

GFX card is built in, and therefore far to weak, CPU is also a Pentium, which is weak for PCSX2's needs.

Meh, just ignore Mkilbrides post, he likes to pick on people with inferior hardware then his

But yes, your computer is quite old. And it looks like you're also running on an onboard GPU, which is a no no for gaming. Especially for PCSX2. Sorry buddy, but you might as well stick to your PS2 because you need a beefy computer to run this emulator.

If you read the sticky and browse a few other threads, you'll see what I mean.
