Question windows xp 32 or vista 64 bit?

hello people on this great forum :-)

Testing a Little with the PCSX2 .

what is better for me to do????

using windows xp sp2 or a vista 64 or32 bit virsion is the one beter (faster) on my old computer or not ,using PCSX2

now i am using win xp sp2.

my computer :AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4200+ (socket AM2) Processor
( Thermaltake TR2-R1 Ultra Silence koeler)

- Asus M2A-MX (mATX, PCI-e, Sound, LAN, SATA, RAID, VGA )

- 2 x 512 MB DDR2 PC 5300 667 MHz Kingston ....but i am gonna baye 4 gig

- Western Digital Caviar 160Gb 7200RPM, 8 Mb S-ata hard disk

geforce 8500GT 1024 mb.

Graphics card is weak, Processor is abit slow, since it's AMD, OC it if you can, it really depends on which games you want to play, 2D should do fine, but anything 3D is really questionable on that system.

4GB of RAM wouldn't help with the emulator, but I'd still get it.

32 bit and 64 bit do not matter right now, but due to your weak GFX card, I suggest you just do Windows XP SP2, as it only helps Graphics card wise.

XP is faster for me. The 256 color trick helps a lot and does not work in vista

but gdsx run in dx9 always mess up my graphic a little bit, everything run smooth in dx10 except for shadow.

not everything runs better with dx10.

some games get some glitches, like FFX with DX10 gets a black stripe that divides characters in half when you use texture filtering.
but the game works good with DX9.
