Greetz all.
![]() I've encountered something really, really strange. Normally, one would have to start up PCSX2 and have to log off and allow PCSX2 access to your physical memory; the following message box: ![]() And even after I agree/click 'yes', and my system logs off, when I return and try run PCSX2....it asks the same thing again...it does it over and over again. I've used PCSX2 in Vista and XP COUNTLESS times with no issue. I have no idea why it is doing it now. ....anyone encountered this before? r2rX

Yes it has many times and if you used search you've found it. But run it as administrator.

Pardon me. I've messed with Vista inside and out.....UAC is one of those features that i've disabled.....and so, this is not an issue of running as Administrator (and even though I disabled it, I STILL tried running via Administrator) with the same results.
I've run PCSX2 plenty times, and I always set my system the same way...so it's irregular for it to behave like this now. ....but cheers for the feedback. r2rX

if its not long started appearing its either a windows update thats caused it or a program youve installed which stays resident.

Antivirus software are especially great at hogging the memory space PCSX2 VM build uses.
Usually only an uninstall of such software lets you run PCSX2 VM build again, it's not enough closing it down.

Hmm....well, i've installed/set up nothing out of the ordinary compared to how I usually do...and this setup is what i've always used; and PCSX2 always worked.
I have ESET Smart Security....it's never been a problem (I like it due to it's low foot print). Umm...I haven't installed any new progs since running PCSX2. Concerning Windows Update, it's completely disabled right now (I usually have it off unless I need it). ...honestly, I don't know what it could be. The only other possible thought that comes to mind is that my current install of Vista is custom-made via vLite. But even then, i've run PCSX2 on vLited Vista installs before (x86 and x64) and this current one only has unnecessary drivers and language packs removed....all essential/core component have been untampered. So, I honestly have no idea....like I said, this is the first time i've encountered this. r2rX

Yea sometimes you're unlucky and a windows service may hog that space so reinstalling windows might or might not make it run again but that's not perhaps the quickest solution.
I also know it sometimes have helped users only when creating a new administrator user account as it seems to "bounce" the space windows services uses around a bit so that might be worth a try.

Alright. So far, i've not managed to find a solution. Although, i've been informed that (apparently) this is a common problem for Vista (can't confirm though...) and there is a "supposed" fix around this.
...I figured i'd try find out here.... (B.T.W, I hope this isn't considered double-posting) Cheers for any feedback. r2rX
