this is how my plugins folder looks but when I hit ok it keeps saying:

Could Not Load GS Pluging '/home/chris200x9/pcsx2/plugins/': /home/chris200x9/pcsx2/plugins/: cannot read file data is a directory

How did you install PCSX2, by compiling or by package?

it's a binary I got from ngemu it's 0.93 for linux x86_64 (which I have)

That part means you don't have glew.h. Search in your package manager for a package with "glew" in the name. It might be "libglew-dev" or "glew-headers" or something like that.

BTW: both sets of instructions he linked to appear to cover this - they include glew in the list of packages you should install first.

chris200x9 - Check if the files/folders have proper permissions for your user, or do a chown/chmod.

Glew - As already mentioned, you don't have the glew library.
You need to install it.
