Crash Whenever I Run A Game.
Hi. I'm new here and I just got started on this emulator and I have this problem: whenever I run a game, including .elf files, the emulator crashes with the send error report thing after about 3 seconds. I have read and followed both cottenvibes's 'Running PCSX2 Guide for Noobs' and the guide on the main web. I also tried the solution found in the FAQ to turn off the 'NLOOP hack' thing in the GS plugins. But I still get the same result. The game I'm trying to run is 'Predator Concrete Jungle'.
Here are my System Specs... 3.06 GHz Intel Pentium 4 Windows XP ATI HD 2600 About 1GB Ram slightly less... I hope you guys can help me out. Thanks In Advance ! Last edited by Verdasaw; April 16th, 2008 at 12:24. |

Wow, you managed to do everything you should do.
Cept' you forgot to check the screenshot thread, and the compatibility list. Make sure yer using 0.9.4 as that's the version the site says. Good luck with speed though, very weak system. There could be so many reasons for this, please tell us your exact plugin configurations and version of them.

I'm using 0.9.4 and I've already checked the compatability list and it says that Predator Concrete Jungle is Playable on 0.9.4.
For my Configurations, I use GSdx (MSVC 15.00, SSE2) 0.1.7 for my GS configs with the NLOOP Hack selected (grey), Texture Filtering is checked, Alpha Correction FBA is checked, Logarithmic Z is also checked. I use P.E.Op.S SPU2 1.9.0 for the sound with the volume at loudest, no reverb and with interpolation set at 3. The rest of the sound options are left unchecked. I use LilyPad 0.9.1 for the controllers. I use P.E.Op.S CDVD (CDDA mod) 1.3.0. I use XP so the interface is W2K/XP, Thread Read and 'Use Additional 4 MByte data cache' is checked along with 'Don't wait until drive is ready' and 'Try again on readin error'. I haven't touched the rest of the cofiguration settings. I think that is all for the plugins and configs. As for the screenshots thread, what exactly am I looking for ? And btw, were you being sarcastic on the 1st line ? Anyway, thanks for the response.

Use Linuzappziso to mount the image in PCSX2, best way.
Slightly sarcastic, but I'm glad you actually did do some searching lol. Also, your computer is very weak for PCSX2, so don't expect good speeds.

Does your P4 have HT, if you do, enable MTGS
If you don't, you can probably give up on PCSX2 ![]() and disable DC mode regardless.
