You need Vista to use Pixel Shader 4.0(DX10)

The reason they havn't been updated is because they are mainly updated with a major release of the emu, not to mention I read somewhere that gabest was stumped on what to do next(with the current version of the emulator)Although I read this awhile ago, it may or may not still be true.

It's very hard to understand what you're trying to say. And nobody knows how good anything is going to be, if that answers anything related to your question.
And you seem to be quite off topic.

Uh refraction:
"..reverted one of my VIF changes and fixed another possible Unpack situation.."
This broke the nice fixes for Suikoden5 and Persona3. Both look ugly again

Edit:
Confirmed vifdma beeing more broken in 338 by using an older vifdma.c which worked.
And i also get freezing in Persona3 all of a sudden, have to see if thats a counter problem.

Ok, Odin Sphere and Persona3 hang now. It's not the changes to IOP counters.
So that leaves the SIF timing, seems it needs some refining ^^

Edit: Trabe, just wait a day. I'm sure ref will get it working again

I actually enjoy debugging and the like, I just don't know enough about the file structure of the program yet to figure it out. I need to study it longer.

Thats why I was asking, 'cause messing around with this helps my skills improve.

hmmmm, is anyone else getting an error with the afxres.h file?

I narrowed down the freezing problems.
IN SIF1Dma() it keeps trying to transfer data and never finishes
LOG:
IOP SIF dest chain tag madr:00105A40 wc:0220 id:0 irq:0
IOP SIF doing transfer 001C to 00105A40
SIF1 - 28 = 0 (pos=104)
IOP SIF doing transfer 0000 to 00105AB0
SIF1 - 0 = 0 (pos=104)
IOP SIF doing transfer 0000 to 00105AB0
SIF1 - 0 = 0 (pos=104)
IOP SIF doing transfer 0000 to 00105AB0
SIF1 - 0 = 0 (pos=104)

Edit: Fixed the stalling
In line 477 in Sif.c "if(sif1.fifoSize > 0)" needs to be uncommented, along with the closing bracket in line 494.

Can anyone confirm the difference in VS2008 vs VS2005?

I purchased VS9 and VS2005. I would test myself, but I dont pir8 and VS2008 is EXPENSIVE (For no reason).

For the poster who said he had no crashes with Accel 2: What are your specs and configurations?

CPU: C2D 6750 @ 2.66GHz
GPU: GeForce 8600
MOBO: P5E-VM

SVN 338 (GSDX 1.6) crashes with 4tk, Gai/Lee moves, and certain other moves. Basically in similar fashion to 0.9.5 SVN 225/PCSX0.9.4. However, Speed is SSSMMMOOTTTHHH and it looks fabulous on my weak setup. There might also be some crashes supressed as well.

I can test arcade-like games no problem. I can do in-depth testing if needed as well. (But only games I own which admittedly is only about 40-or-so)

i played RE codename veronica using 330. And then i played using a different plugin. My savestates are corrupted! They load( cept 1 that freeze) but when i resave, it crashed. So i unchecked the EE recompiler. Load and save, It worked! And then check the EE recompiler again, and savestates worked again yaay, but im losing bgm. And character's voice

I get stuck in the menu here (unless trying to rapid press the ok key it might pass it sometimes) when choosing a new game during the game difficulty lvl & name choices it ends up in a loop. Didn't happen with previous builds.

well if you have tortoise svn, revert vifdma.c to 333 and try it again. if that doesnt work, bring it backto the new one and revert psxdma.c, sif.c and r5900.c to 333
