I just ran my german (PAL) copy of ff12.
This one has problems with the intro fmv as well. It does not give those errors but the sound is distorted.
Well, ticking the tighter spu2 sync option fixed that. Its totally fine then.
But using that option on wild arms 5 i get no sound at all.

So maybe the best value for spu2 sync is somewhere inbetween those 2 we have now..
(Or it's just WA5 not getting what it wants at the exact time again )

ive tried that, ive tried multiple combinations it doesnt happen xD what i might try is overriding the spu2 plugins control over the DMA's and see if i can do it manually. and figure it out.

That'd be a good idea, really.
IMO the plugin shouldnt handle DMA control, seeing it might get too low cpu ressources
or fps is so high (or low) it just can't trigger the DMA or IRQ in time.
Let alone the bugs different plugins might have with their timings

Edit: I must admit its all working very well at this time though

nah the problem is the dma timing is dependant on the async, the plugin can only count the cycles when it knows how many have passed, but due to me not being sure on the plugins timing id rather try to override it with what i think it should be.

FF12 PAL seems to get along very well with the new speed hacks. I only played for ~30 mins but FPS improved from ~60-80 in crowded scenes to ~90-120 without errors.

same here, but the NTSC version doesn't have this slowness in FMV's
maybe its because the PAL version use an higher bitrate? just a thought...

yeah it's the only problem I can see on PAL FFXII. It doesn't have the blockiness of the NTSC FFXII FMV though. I also noticed the NTSC FFXII FMVs won't have subtitles on for some reason.

It is after the battle with the first boss ( i mean the big black creature) The graphics were ok until this level. Anyway i disabled dual core mode and now the graphics are back to normal but the game is slower. I enabled dual ocre mode again and the it happens the same thing!!!!

try using a different GS plugin. it could be its not handling MTGS correctly.

I tested with zerofrog plugin and now the graphics are broken not only with Dual core mode enabled, but even without it!!!!!! However i found something realy strange... When i load a game from the memory card the graphics are ok but when i prees f3 to load a save state then the graphics are broken

That's normal behaviour since 94. To load it properly from a sstate - load game from memcard, go to graphically similiar / the same place and then load a sstate.

Uhhh actually that's absolutely normal. Using savestates you WILL often get broken graphics. So... if your "broken graphics" problem from the posts before was after you loaded from savestates, know it's not actually a problem. It's simply, absolutely, normal....

Oh btw sstates again - RE4 doesn't crash anymore after loading 'em.:P And sound comes back to sync after ~10 sec. Splendid!

GT4 playable tracks:
-Tsukuba circuit
-Fuji Speedway '90s
-Infeon SP
-Highspeed Ring

...and probably few more:P All at 40-60 fps with vu-skip <btw refraction the thing I've sent u few days ago doesn't work with FF XII, KH and RE4 - ****, I've thought it would work with everything... guess I was wrong. But it does work with GT4 and many others perfectly... ****>.

Thanks for that list of tracks, rainbow. I could finally complete one race in there. With frameskip, the game runs at full speed all the time. When the race is being played back, it crashes the emu, though.

So, I've rechecked the intro of my German FFXII copy with svn329 and there is still some flickering which does not appear when using 0.94. I've tried several different plugin and speed hack combinations. No luck.
Okay, it's not directly flickering but every 5-7 seconds, the screen gets black for one short moment. It's always the same position. The third speed hack does not help and the first two hacks just change the moment of the flickering. Very strange...

wow! on PCSX2 r327+all speed hack(gsdx9 0.1.8 sse3) tekken4 accelerate 10-15fps on various stages. amazing!! thank you!!
