Running PCSX2 Guide for Noobs - Page 8

i'm using vista so i tried to open PCSX2 as administrator but i keep getting a message saying "cannot allocate mem address 1500000000-5500000000: err 487" what can i do to prevent this from popping up?

also - by any chance is there a way to export the save file from your PS2 memory card to a computer and vice versa? i want to use my emulator (and also save state) as a way of getting the zodiac spear from the henne mines in FF12

thats a good question.
theres probably free PS2 demos out there, but i don't know where to get them.
anyone else know?

but if you've already dumped your PS2's bios, you can always test PCSX2 out by setting the CD plugin to Null, and then going to File->run cd/dvd.
and then it will just go straight into the bios, and you can see if PCSX2 is working.

most likely you're getting that error because a program is running and taking up that specific space in memory, this can be a firewall/anti-virus/webcam/trojan/virus/...etc..

try running PCSX2 after exiting all your firewalls/anti-virus programs.
sometimes you even have to uninstall them..
if you still have problems, you can try using the TLB build (pcsx2t.exe) or you can try making a thread on the forums so the other members can help you out.

and yes theres ways to export saved games from PS2 memory cards, but its different depending on what equipment you have.
but i'm not an expert on that, so it would be best to post on the forums for additional help.

If you want to throw in a minimum system spec, and only ask questions about gaimes if reached this requirement (pcsx2 will 'run')

2.4GHz or higher X2 or Core2 Duo/4GHz or higher single core/3GHz or higher Pentium D
0.5G of RAM
7600 or ATI equivalent or higher

Hello,
can somebody tell me if Dawn of Mana is on PCSX2 playable in the new 0.95 beta version?
After the Menu and the two videos i just see green things i can't identify.
I can change to the map menu and this works but nothing outside of it.
I have a Intel Dual Core Duo E6600 with a GeForce 7600 GS and 3GB ram.
I use the GSdx 0.1.7 with SSSE3 under Windows XP with DirectX 9.
I also tried with Texture filtering on/off and native on/off.
With native on its much faster but still doesn't playable.

With all other graphics plugins the game with intros were so slow you could say it's not running.

Hope i put all needed informations into this post, if not, tell me what you still need

I had a the game working for a while, but then I started to get those green things also. I dunno what changed.

i don't have that game, so i don't know what the problem could be.

Trabe, if it worked before and now it doesn't, maybe try using a different version of PCSX2, or a different version of GSdx.

I used your guide and it was very helpful for me, but I was playing Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 and the game screen trembles. Its like the screen is is being moved on the inside. How can I fix this?? Pc specs are in my sig and the emulators specs are the best that you recommended for Duo Core 2 owners.

that game uses an interlace mode.
press "F5" to switch to a different interlace mode.

theres around 7 different modes, so keep pressing it until the screen stops shaking.

also, in that game its recommended to use PCSX2 9.2
with 9.4 and higher you get some crashes.

uuh...Guys...Haven't you noticed or is it just my emulator in which some options are missing?In the graphics csonfiguration some of the "Tick Boxes" are missing...(not in the guide in the emulator)so happens in the CPU config.... plz help me a bit...

OK, first you need to post all your system details like (runing what on what : win xp/vista,Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750@2.66 GHz Cache:4.096 Memory:2.048 MB GRAPHICS:Screen>1024x768 in 16777216 colours 20"with 32 Bit colour Depth>Video card:ATI Radeon HD 3850), than specify the missing options within the emu & the missing tick boxes, based on the help configs (must compare with written words),,, its so tough task but just to get right away to the problmz...ok, and know it depands all on your description that serious problems you got...

Spyross, like said above, your basically asking people to fix your problem, but not telling us what it is your using, or doing. It's not that hard to understand PC specs.

Honestly, if you don't know your computers specs, then don't use the emulator.

also make sure you downloaded the latest GSdx.

the one that comes with PCSX2 is GSdx9, but the latest one is GSdx 1.7

oh! ok guys...i'll edit my post in a min... maybe 2... ok kidding in 1 hour i'll be back here with all the info...(I have a lot of job to do here...)

also,Hanibal I think you posted all I had to post...running windows xp pro...the processor and things you posted there are mine...(if you don't already know...

)

first:how should i use the latest GSdx?download then do what? i tried sth but didn't really work...

2nd:Config CPU: in guide it says:1) Start up pcsx2.exe
2) goto Config/ CPU
3) select "Multi Threaded GS Mode" and "Dual Core Mode" CheckBoxes (Must be using a multi-cored processor; ie. AMD X2, AMD Phenom, Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Quad-Core)
4) under framelimiting, select Limit and type "75" (this limits emulation speed to 75fps which is nice for RPGs, you can also select 60fps if you want it running at
normal speed)
I can't find the box to type "75"...just a simple chsckbox: Limit:bla bla...

In guide it says when i first run pcsx2,it'll show a message about the memory and sth...that doesn't happen to me...and i have to run pcsx2t to start the emulator not pcsx2.exe(i haven't made a mistake it's pcsx2t in case it seems strange...)

3rd)In graphics config it doesn't have some of the choices,but i skip them cause you said I have an older version and that might be the cause...

4th)Can't see any lilypad in my emulator...DO I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ALL THE PLUGINS AGAIN?

although not necessary i'd like to know how the hell can i create an ISO file...i got the program but it's too complicated...all the time errors
