way of the samurai 2

pcsx2 0.9.4 32bit vm
MTGS/DC enabled
other plugins at default

status: very playable with perfect sound

notice the extreme speeddifference between ZeroGS and GSdx9

don't let the ZeroGS pic fool you ... you nomaly have 5-10 fps -.-
while GSdx9 never gets under 35 fps

edit: i added a pic of GSdx9 without framelimiter

Game: Gundam Seed Destiny - Alliance VS Z.A.F.T II Final PLUS

Status: Playable at full speed for most maps. It slows down to about 60-80% on maps with water bodies or underwater combat.

Comp: E6750 clocked to 3.2gHz, 2GB ram at 800mhz, 8600GT video card, pcxs2 32 bit version on windows xp x64.

graphics plugin: gabest's GSdx9 0.10.0 on pixel shader 3.0. (Gabest's gave faster speed for this game, with MTGS, even back in ver 0.9.2.)

MTGS and DC mode enabled of course. Frame Limiting set at "Limit" or else the game goes too fast!

Unfortunately the game refuses to go into full screen no matter what I do.

WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2007 (SLES 54489)

First of all: Amazing job on the new PCSX2 release !

Status
Playable

System
just take a look @ my sig (cpu not overclocked)

Emu config
  • PCSX2 0.9.4 VM 32-bit
  • MTGS + DC-mode + all recompilers + frame limit enabled
  • Linuzappz ISO CDVD 0.6.0
  • ZeroSPU2 0.4.4 (time scaling enabled)
  • ZeroGS 0.97.0 (BF disabled)

Advanced ZeroGS options:
  • Disable alpha testing (seems to speed up the game)
  • No color clamping (same)
  • No target resolves (needed, or else the menu is partly garbage)
  • Resolve Hack #1 & 2 (can't remember why i used those options... but one of them was important )

Intro videos are nearly realtime speed (see screen 1 & 2) around 41-46fps. Menus are almost always full speed (around 50fps). Ingame speed is around 25-43fps (the character entrances are partly slowing down to 25fps - in the matches the speed is always around ~40fps ± 3fps).

Note: It seems like the ZeroGS option "Disable stencil buffer" speed up the game and makes it run a lot more flawlessly... but then you have to live with some sort of graphic bug (take a look at the last two screens). But this bug is only visible on the entrances, not in the matches.

Note 2: Enabling 4xAA in matches seems to sacrifice only amazingly few (1-2) fps . But sadly the whole rest of the game will slow down a lot more...

Mobile Suit GUNDAM: Zeonic Front (SLUS 20233 NTSC)

Status: PLAYABLE <at nerly full ~ full speed>

Rig: C2D E6300 3.06 GHz | P5N-E SLI | 2 GB RAM 1000 MHz 5-5-5-15 | 7900GS 585/800 MHz | Audigy 2 | XP Pro SP2

Settings:
  • PCSX2 94 VM
  • MTGS, DC on
  • Frame limiter on
  • GSDX9 v10-2 - PS 3.0, Deinterlace on, rest off <10-5 is definitely faster - constant 60fps 98% of timer>
  • PEOPS SPU2 1.9.0 - fastest

Game is fully playable from the beginning to an end. Broken sound is no longer a problem <at least in PEOPS SPU2 - ZeroSPU2 is not a good choice for this game>. Also GSDX9 is faster than ZeroGS - 40-60fps vs 25-40fps. Briefing is OK in this ver, u don't have to skip it, same for cutscenes. FMVs r not great <30fps>, but they r not THAT bad either.

Note: Disabling 2D HUD <L2+L1> helps a little when fps counter is going below 60.

Note 2: I'll add more shots later... maybe

Note 3: 10-6 - 10-9 version of GSDX9 have some probs with menus. Here's ver 10-5 of GSDX9. When gabest deletes it, feel free to PM me - I'll send it to u.

Note 4: Settings for 10-5:
  • PS 3.0
  • Interlacing: none
  • Enable palettized textures: on
  • Linear texture filtering: on
  • Rest: off

Note 5: For some reason battle menus under L2 and R2 r invisible, but it's not a big prob. Just remember that L2 + R1 is for manual reloading, and it should be fine.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne (JP)

spec as above

edit:
New screen shot captured w/o the 256-color trick because I found it doesn't raise the framerate at all. 4X AA does not drop the speed with GeForce 7600 but BF does. Also Interlace mode 0 is a must for both Nocturne and DDSaga.

Arcana Heart (NTSC-J)
Status: Playable

Cpu: AMD Sempron 3000+ 64 bit
Gpu: Geforce FX 6100 256 mb
Ram: 2 gb DDR

Emulator setting:
PCSX2 0.9.4 Non-VM 32-bit (the vm one still produces error and closes)
Zerogs kosmos 0.97.0, antialias x4
zerospu2 set to default
ssspsx pad.
cpu set to default except no frameskipping, since it loses far too much frames.

Speed is around 5-25 fps. There's a very annoying screen flicker (the screen shifts up and down), which doesn't completely go away even with the interlace modes. They also create weird "tearing" effect where one of the interlaced line sets is not updated correctly and lags behind. Stuff like wireframe mode works only for one of the interlaced frames. The graphics, unless at at least AAx4 is very pixelated and low resolution, with over half of its details lost.
