It's because the primary bottleneck in your case is actually the processor since you're not using anti-aliasing.
Ahh ... indeed.
No real differences between No-AA and 4xAA here.
(Still too slow to be really playable (for me) ... but NICE!)

cyclonmaster, that is your average?
I have a P4 630 3.0Ghz stock speed, the same graphics chip that you have at also stock speed and 2GB RAM, and I have an average of 30 fps at FFXII...
I know I have HyperThreading, but that only give me 5-7 more fps...
For the trick, I didnt tested it yet, only next weekend...

Nice one, although if i recall correctly zero did state that in the next version he will enable users to tweak many internal stuff (maybe this one too) with checkboxes in the config dialog

Does it means that the next release will be faster for me if i disable all the internal stuff, without upgrade or overclocking? And will there be any 32 bit bulids or only 64 bit?

there is a thread somewhere here in the forum about this fastmemory patch (TLB)
at the startpoint in Halloween town i get around 70FPS or so with VM and over 100FPS with TLB ^^
now in Traverse Town i get ~72FPS when i stay at the startpoint (the big Gate at the market place) and see the whole market and the two shops.

This is fantastic in ff12 not only does it boost my avg framerate from 47 to 55fps, but it also fixes a graphical glitch where floor textures were not appearing!
